For 2021 we are hoping to expand our delivery and pick up box options to make it easier for those who do not have time or would prefer not to go to the store or market. To get our weekly updates through the season just send us a message below with your email address and the town you live in and we will keep you in the know.
With all the extra time and effort that it took in 2020 to get through our growing season we were not able to get our regular canning done this year. We are hoping to get an early start on pickles next year but until then we do have Corn & Black Bean Salsa back in stock in either Mild or Carolina Reaper Edition!
As a small Canadian farm our growing season starts in March and goes until October. We grow as much variety as we can, and everything is ready at different times which gives us a beautifully growing selection through the spring, summer and early fall. Nothing in the farm world is a guarantee since we rely on a lot of outside factors, but here is a list of what you can hope to see from us this year and a general time line of when we will start to see them:
April/May - Bedding Plants available to purchase for your own home gardens. Lettuces becoming available, starting to see Kohlrabi, Zucchini, Cucumbers, Kale, Basil, Rhubarb, Asparagus
June - Adding to the selection we will see Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Beans, Apricots, Cherries, Beets, Potatoes, Fennel, Garlic Scapes, Garlic, Carrots
July - Celery, Tomatoes, Green Peppers, Jalapenos, Hot Banana Peppers, Gaila Melon
August - Red, Orange and Yellow Bell Peppers, Variety of Hot Peppers, Plums, Nectarines, Peaches, Corn, Apples, Onions, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Acorn Squash
September - Apples, Pears, Pumpkins, Butternut & Spaghetti Squash
It has been a tough year for small business and that includes your local farmers. With market cancellations as well as restrictions we are finding better ways to get our produce to your door including weekly box pick ups or deliveries. We have just expanded our delivery service to include the Central Okanagan from Okanagan Falls all the way to Kelowna! We are offering a $50 box delivered to your door every week. This is no commitment boxes, you order only on the weeks you want. To find out what produce is available each week join our email list to receive the update each week on what is in the box and replying with yes and your delivery address is all it takes to place your order
For boxes between Oliver and Osoyoos we are continuing our weekly vegetable boxes in $20, $40, and $60 increments that you can choose to pick up at the farm or have delivered to you every week. If you have the option, please remember to support local. Thank you!

In an ongoing battle to be politically correct, we find ourselves in a fight with what seems like a simple, straight forward word. Organic. It is the basis of all life on earth, it is a part of us and it is also how we grow our food. Everything we grow is done in the most natural way possible. We use organic seeds, and fertilizer. We weed our farm by hand and tool alone. Our fields have never seen a drop of glyphosate (the active ingredient in the herbicide Roundup) and the only sprays we will ever use are fully organic and are used only when necessary. Most of what we grow is completely spray free. We are upfront and honest with our customers about everything we do because we believe that you deserve to know exactly what you eat. Within our organic beliefs, we also think that words should be free and not owned. Because we refuse to pay for the use of this word, we are not allowed to use the term organic, even though it is how we farm. We are thankful to live in a community where people can know their farmer and see how truly organic their food is grown, with or without the bought and paid for label. As such, Oxbow Flats Farm is Proudly Un-certified Organic!
